Membership Assistant

Position Description Summary

The Membership Assist will partner with the Membership team in the creation of a memorable and engaging experience for our Members and guests accomplished through courteous professionalism and welcoming hospitality.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Create a memorable experience for all Members and guests, continually providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism
  • Complete special projects, as assigned by the Membership Director or Supervisors
  • Maintain the marketing database system, ensuring accurate records with periodic audits and updates
  • Handle all incoming calls and emails at the reception desk, as needed
  • Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in maintaining Member files
  • Be knowledgeable about Membership policies and categories, assisting Members and potential Members, as needed
  • Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness
  • Maintain up-to-date credentials, certificates, and licenses, as applicable

Qualifications & Education Requirements

Service Staff, Bussers, Bartenders

To Go Service Attendant

You will be working the restaurant desk at the BHI Club, answering the phone, greeting members, taking orders, ensuring proper packaging of orders, and performing other club related tasks. The position requires three to four days per week, including Saturdays. Peak season will require evening hours as well. Full time positions are also available.

Prior experience as a server, drive-through order taker, or related required. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. General office knowledge is a plus. Previous restaurant experience required.

Food Runner/Server Assistant

Position Description Summary

Food & Beverage Server Assistants are responsible for the professional and timely service of food and drink to all Members and guests.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create a memorable dining experience for all Members and guests, continually providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism
  • Support Servers, as needed, keeping side stations stocked, clearing tables, and running food
  • Ensure each dish that comes off the line is properly expedited
  • Adhere to all health and sanitation codes and guidelines at all times
  • Be knowledgeable about all menus
  • Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, adhering to BHIC standards and steps of service
  • Check in on Members and guests frequently, keeping drinks full and attending to all of their needs
  • Advise management of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Complete all opening, side, & closing duties, as instructed, such as dusting chairs, folding napkins, cleaning highchairs, prepping bread baskets, polishing silverware, resetting tables, etc
  • Attend pre-shift meetings, noting any specials
  • Consistently adhere to state and local laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages
  • Assist in the daily operation of assigned dining outlet, as needed
  • Maintain a clean dining room, including tables, side stations, bar areas, and host stand

Position Description Summary

The Sous Chef will partner with the team of sous chefs to create a memorable experience for our members through maintaining high culinary standards and producing top-notch products while managing the kitchen staff to ensure the most effective operation of Horizon’s.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily operation of the Horizon culinary operations, as needed
  • Receive truck orders, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of inventory
  • Maintain the organization of all storage areas and product
  • Work the line as needed, producing exceptional dishes that represent BHIC standards
  • Ensure proper cleanliness of the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Ensure adherence to all health codes, periodically checking compliance
  • Conduct frequent line checks throughout the shift, assisting the team as needed
  • Coach staff on recipe adherence, kitchen protocol, and best practices
  • Maintain adequate ticket times for member experience
  • Complete all opening, closing, and side duties, as needed and instructed including completing, signing, dating, and emailing checklists to management

Restaurant Manager

Position Description Summary

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for the effective operation of their assigned restaurant outlet, ensuring memorable experiences for our Members through maintaining high service standards while managing the restaurant staff.

Role & Responsibilities
• Oversee the operation of the assigned dining outlet
• Manage and coach staff, as needed, cultivating a positive and successful team environment
• Consistently improve Member satisfaction survey scores
• Interview and train new employees, as needed, developing consistent employee schedules and cross training where appropriate
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for the Terrace, building upon established protocols and improving overall service and efficiency
• Adhere to all budgetary guidelines, controlling costs and hitting set targets, especially with regard to payroll
• Learn and utilize the Northstar and POS systems
• Handle any Member complaints promptly and professionally, earning repeat business and ensuring the same issue does not happen again
• Ensure adherence to all health codes, periodically checking compliance
• Conduct frequent checks throughout the shift, assisting the team as needed
• Serve as a liaison between front and heart of house, maintaining good relationships between the two teams
• Maintain adequate ticket times for member experience
• Ensure proper shift preparation, including menus, crayons, silver and glass ware, etc
• Troubleshoot any equipment/systems, as needed (TVs, POS, heaters, fans, etc), ensuring a well-maintained facility
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties, as needed and instructed including completing, signing, dating, and emailing checklists to management
