Let the Good Times Roll
The Bald Head Island Croquet Club proudly hosted the Annual Six Wickets Singles Tournament from November 14–16, 2025. Over three competitive days, participants showcased impressive skill, strategy, and sportsmanship in what proved to be a challenging and exciting event.
The final match, held Sunday, November 16, featured standout performances by Tom Locke and Harper Peterson. After a hard-fought game, Tom Locke emerged as the tournament champion.
Congratulations to all players for an outstanding tournament, and thank you to everyone who came out to support the event. We look forward to another great competition next year!
The Bald Head Island Club offers three beautifully manicured courts known as “Greenswards”’ and a pavilion for player use. Situated adjacent to the South Beach shoreline, the courts enjoy the sea breezes throughout the summer and a temperate climate allowing for year-round play.
Private lessons, clinics and coached games are available throughout the year. The Recreation Department maintains a supply of mallets and balls, to rent, in the Racquet Shop for those who are just starting to learn the game.
The Croquet Club organizes member scramblers and tournaments that are played throughout the year, along with monthly socials. They also offer open play on Sunday for any Club member who cares to join them for some casual coaching.
