Tee times at the Bald Head Island Club may be reserved by contacting the Golf Shop at 910.457.7310. Members may also conveniently book tee times through the BHI Club App.

Starting tee times typically begin at 8am. Golfers are asked to arrive at the Golf Shop 30 minutes prior to their tee time to allow time to check in and warm up. Players should be at the first tee 10 minutes before their scheduled tee time.

Tee Time – 10:10am
Check-In at Golf Shop – 9:40am
First Tee – 10am

Advance booking windows vary by membership category:

Full Members

• May reserve tee times up to 30 days in advance, with a maximum of two tee times per day.

Lifestyle Members

• May reserve tee times up to 21 days in advance, with a maximum of one tee time per day.

Extended Family – Full Membership

• May reserve one tee time after 1pm, up to 7 days in advance.

Extended Family – Lifestyle Membership

• May reserve one tee time after 1pm, up to 5 days in advance.

Guest Pass Holders

• May book tee times after 1pm on weekdays during high season
• Not permitted to play weekends during high season
• Not permitted before 11:30am other times of year
• Exceptions only with approval from Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, or CEO

• 72-hour cancellation notice is required for all tee times.
• The Club will send reminder notifications prior to the 72-hour mark.
• A $150 no-show fee per member will be charged for tee times that are not canceled within the required timeframe.

I am staying in a Member’s home and would like to play golf. What do I need to do?
Guests staying in a Member’s home must have the appropriate Guest Pass or Guest Membership to access Club amenities, including golf.

• Guests of Full or Lifestyle Members may play golf as unaccompanied guests, but the tee time must be made by the Member and all applicable fees will be charged to the Member’s account.
• Guests of Social Members must be accompanied by the Member to play.

What are the departure times for the Bald Head Island Ferry?
The ferry departs for Bald Head Island at the top of each hour (7am, 8am, 9am, etc.), excluding 12pm during certain times of the year.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at the ferry landing at least 30 minutes before departure to allow time for unloading and parking.

How do I reserve a tee time if I am arriving by boat at the marina?
Guests arriving by private boat must contact the Dock Master at 910.457.7380 for docking information. 

Do you have rental golf clubs available?
Yes. The Golf Shop offers a limited number of Titleist rental sets. Please contact the Golf Shop for availability and pricing.

What is the dress code for the golf course and practice facilities?
The Bald Head Island Club maintains a traditional golf attire policy for the course and practice areas.

Are personal coolers allowed on the golf course?
Personal coolers are not permitted on the golf course. Each golf cart is equipped with a cooler for Club food and beverage purchases.
