PL Fitness Rules

Fitness Center Guidelines

The Bald Head Island Club Fitness Center is reserved exclusively for Members and registered Guest Pass Holders.

Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all users. Please review the following policies before visiting the facility.


Fitness Center Hours

Member Hours
Monday-Friday: 6:30am-8pm
Saturday-Sunday: 7am-6pm

Fuel Bar Hours
Monday-Friday: 6:30am-7pm
Saturday-Sunday: 7am-5pm

Guest Pass Holder Access
Guest Pass Holders may access the Fitness Center during the following times:

Monday-Friday: 10am-8pm

Saturday-Sunday (Peak Season): No Fitness Center access permitted.

Guest Pass Holders may access the facility before 10am or on weekends only if they are:

  • Registered for a fitness class through the Bald Head Island Club app
  • Scheduled for a personal training session with a trainer


The Bald Head Island Club app can be used to:

  • Sign up for fitness classes
  • Request personal training sessions
  • Order Fuel Bar smoothies for pickup
  • Schedule wellness appointments with our physical therapist
  • Read fitness blogs, class descriptions, and trainer bios
  • Request an InBody scan
  • Review training rates and wellness offerings
  • Join interest groups to receive fitness-related communications
One-on-one, partner, small group, online, and hybrid training options are available.

Youth Fitness Center Policies
To ensure the safety of all members and guests:

  • Children ages 12 and under may not use the Fitness Center independently unless participating in a youth class or personal training session.
  • All independent Fitness Center users must be at least 13 years old.
  • Ages 13-15 require a one-time parent or legal guardian waiver.
  • Ages 13-15 must always remain with a parent or legal guardian while utilizing the facility.
  • A Youth Orientation class is offered Saturdays from 8:30-9:30am and is required for ages 13-15 before they may move throughout the facility more freely.
  • The orientation covers proper exercise form, gym etiquette, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • All waivers will remain on file until the child turns 18 years old.
  • Ages 16 and older may utilize the Fitness Center independently.

Fitness Center Rules & Etiquette
To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone:

  • The Fitness Center is reserved for Members and registered Guest Pass Holders only.
  • Please wipe down all equipment after use. Antibacterial wipes are provided throughout the facility.
  • Cell phone calls are not permitted inside the Fitness Center. Please use designated areas if you need to make or receive a call.
  • Television channels may only be changed by Club staff.
  • Pets are not permitted inside the Fitness Center.
  • All individuals are expected to respect standard Fitness Center rules, etiquette, and dress code at all times.
